Visiting Suomenlinna
Suomenlinna sea fortress is open to visitors. The ferry to Suomenlinna operates from the Market Square according to regular schedule. As rapid changes may occur, we recommend to check the latest information on the Helsinki Region Transport (HSL) website.
However, most services are closed at the moment. Suomenlinna Museum, Military Museum’s Manege, Suomenlinna Church and Jetty Barracks Gallery have informed that they will keep their doors closed until further notice. Guided tours organized by Ehrensvärd Society are cancelled between 17.3.-13.4.2020. Restaurant Susisaaren Ruokala will be closed starting 18.3.2020.
All events in Suomenlinna are cancelled between 17.3.-13.4.2020.
Regarding restaurant and café services we encourage visitors to check the websites of businesses for updated information. Given the rapid changes at the moment, the opening hours and event calendar on Suomenlinna.fi may not be up to date.
Please note, that Regional State Administrative Agencies in Finland have forbidden gatherings of more than 10 people.
