Exceptions in Suomenlinna water traffic on July 13th 2023
There are exceptions in Suomenlinna’s water traffic on Thursday 13 July 2023. The passenger ferry service to Suomenlinna runs from 6:00 a.m. to 9:40 p.m. only between Katajanokka-Suomenlinna-Katajanokka. From 10:20 p.m. onwards the ferry service will return to the normal route Kauppatori-Suomenlinna-Kauppatori. The waterbus service to Suomenlinna and Lonna exceptionally runs from Kalasatama instead of Kauppatori.
The exceptions are caused by the visit of US President Joe Biden to Finland, hosted by the President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö, and the Nordic-US summit. The meeting will take place at the Presidential Palace. The security measures of the visit affect Suomenlinna’s water traffic. More information about the visit can be found in the bulletin of the President’s Office, and traffic arrangements in the bulletin of the Police.
