City of Helsinki announces a change: Renovation of the Susisaari Bridge in Suomenlinna postponed to 2026
The old bridge will remain in use until the renovation begins. The renovation work on the bridge next to the Suomenlinna Museum will begin next year.

Originally, the bridge was scheduled for major repairs during the summer and autumn of 2025. Due to shortcomings in the procurement process, the renovation has been postponed, and the project will be re-tendered.
A new tender for the bridge renovation will be held at the end of 2025, and the work will begin in 2026.
The old bridge will remain in use until the renovation begins. A new temporary bridge will also be available alongside the old one.
